To NRO Account: Yes, funds can be transferred from a domestic savings account to an NRO (Non-Resident Ordinary) account. However, as per FEMA guidelines, the purpose of the transfer must be clearly declared wherever required, in line with regulatory norms.
To NRE Account: No, transfers from a domestic account to an NRE (Non-Resident External) account are not permitted. NRE accounts only accept foreign currency remittances or transfers from other NRE accounts.
