Yes, payees added to your Citibank account will be migrated to Axis Bank. However, please note:
1.If a payee with the same account number is present in your existing Axis Bank as well as Citibank account, then the Axis Bank payee would be retained, and Citi payee will not be migrated to avoid duplication.
2.If there are two different account numbers with the same nickname, then Citi payee name will be automatically appended with the last 4 digits of the account to help differentiate.
3.Axis Bank does not allow special characters in payee name / nick name. Hence, any special characters in Citi payee name / nickname will be replaced by a space (except for ‘&’ which will be replaced by ‘and’), upon the migration.
